To celebrate their 7th year, the Casino did a fireworks display. We even had tornado alerts, but no one seemed to mind it. We enjoyed the restaurants and a relative smoke free environment. Our neighbors awning ripped off in the wind. There were hardly any trees, just open farm land. Grand Falls Casino & Golf ResortĪ hidden gem among all the nearby Sioux Falls highway adjacent RV parks. Larchwood only has a population of about 900 people. Other than the casino, there were miles upon miles of hay and corn fields.
It was only about 100 yards to the South Dakota border and 20 miles to Sioux Falls. From the Badlands, we drove 5 hours to Larchwood, Iowa to be close to Sioux Falls in order to have an air conditioner replaced and for our annual physician visits.
